Tuesday, October 20, 2020 – Planned Giving When That is Not All You Do, presented by John Sentovich, Director of Planned Giving at Northern Illinois University Foundation. Virtual online over Zoom beginning at 12:00pm.* Receive 1 point towards CFRE.
In 1992, John began working for the Rockford Catholic Diocese in the Stewardship Development Office as Director of Parish Stewardship. In 1997, John became the Director of Planned Giving and the Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese. His primary responsibilities were managing the work of the Foundation board and working with individuals interested in remembering the church in their estate plan. In 2007, John was asked to take a similar position with the Northern Illinois University Foundation. He is currently the Director of Gift Planning and has branded the program through a variety of marketing strategies, including print, electronic communication/social media, and estate planning seminars. He works primarily with retired alumni who are doing their final estate plan and are wanting to create a legacy at their alma mater.
