RAMP Disability Resources and Services is seeking a Development Support Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate for this role is an organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. They should have prior experience supporting fundraising events and donor relations, and demonstrating discretion in handling sensitive information.
Proficiency in Office 365 and donor database systems is preferred, along with a strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A passion for supporting community initiatives, particularly those aligned with the Independent Living Philosophy will make this candidate stand out. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Event and Campaign Support
- Assist in coordinating event logistics, including permits, purchase orders, supplies, and day-of tasks like setup and cleanup
- Manage ticket sales, payments, donations, and sponsor lists
- Assist with event-specific activities such as registration, signage, name tags, and volunteer materials
- Handle auction donations, process receipts, and track contributions
- Prepare fundraising reports to help the development team track progress toward goals and analyze donor data
Donor and Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate donor records, update information, and generate donation reports in the database
- Prepare and send personalized thank-you letters to donors
- Manage the assembly and distribution of campaign mailings using USPS bulk permit
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or minimum of two years administrative experience supporting a development office preferred
- Experience with donor database systems and online giving/auction software, a plus
- Experience with Office 365 Apps, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Reliable transportation and a willingness to work some evening and weekend hours as needed
- Personal experience with a disability is preferred
- Strong desire to see the Independent Living Philosophy carried out in the community
Job Location: Position is based out of Rockford RAMP office; hybrid remote work option.
Starting Salary Range – based on experience: $18 – $20/hour, 20-24 hours per week
